Education and R&D Coordination / Bilim Türkiye Centers - Workshop Instructor

Bilim Türkiye Project:

Bilim Türkiye is a science centers project aimed at reaching wide audiences with science and technology, ensuring science communication, increasing interest in these fields within society, and nurturing a productive, team-oriented generation.

Within the framework of Bilim Türkiye Education Programs, there are 7 different workshop themes. Practical workshop training is provided to students aged 6-14 in Technology, Astronomy & Aviation, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Design, Entrepreneurship, and Agriculture Technologies Workshops. In addition to workshops, there are interactive experiment devices in exhibition areas that allow students to explore science by touch, and there are planetarium areas that concretize abstract concepts.

Job Description:

Conducts workshop training in line with planning.

Monitors all processes required for workshop training.

Facilitates communication with students and parents.

Develops curriculum content.

Plans different training programs.

Mentors teams for national and international competitions.

Participates in off-site (out-of-town or in-town) events. General Qualifications:

Proficient in current educational approaches (constructivist education, problem-based education, project-based education, IB, etc.).

Preferably has previous experience in providing practical workshop training (such as Bilsem, Deneyap, etc.).

Inclined towards project development culture.

Strong communication skills with children.

Proficient in conducting research.

Open to content development.

Proficient in Web 2.0 tools. Academic Section:

To be an instructor in the relevant workshops, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in one of the following fields:

  • Mathematics Workshop Instructor:

    Elementary Mathematics Teaching Department     Mathematics Teaching Department     Mathematics Department     Familiarity with programs like Geogebra is preferred.     Preferably holds a STEM Educator Certificate.

  • Entrepreneurship Workshop Instructor:

    Entrepreneurship Department     International Relations Department     Business Department     Preferably holds an entrepreneurship certificate.

  • Astronomy and Aviation Workshop Instructor:

    Astronomy and Space Department     Aviation and Space Department     Physics Department     Familiarity with Stellarium is preferred.     Preferably has experience in planetarium instruction.

  • Technology Workshop Instructor:

    Computer and Instructional Technologies Teaching Department     Computer Engineering Department     Preferably has experience with programs like Scratch, code.org.     Familiarity with robotic coding sets like mBot, Robotis, Lego, Arduino, etc., is preferred.     Preferably holds a STEM Educator Certificate.

  • Natural Sciences Workshop Instructor:

    Science Teaching Department     Physics Teaching Department     Chemistry Teaching Department     Biology Teaching Department     Physics Department (preferably with teaching certificate)     Chemistry Department (preferably with teaching certificate)     Biology Department (preferably with teaching certificate)     Holds a STEM Educator Certificate.

  • Design Workshop Instructor:

    Decorative Arts Department     Traditional Turkish Arts Department     Arts and Crafts Departments

  • Agriculture Technologies Workshop Instructor:

    Biology Teaching Department     Biology Department     Agricultural Faculties Departments     Preferably has work experience in areas such as plant production, nursery management, seed production, agricultural spraying, fertilization, etc.     Preferably holds certificates in areas like plant production, nursery management, seed production, agricultural spraying, fertilization, etc.

Note: Science centers are implemented in collaboration with local municipalities and foundations. Application information of candidates will be shared with the relevant municipality for the applied science center.
